Syllabus
|
General Intelligence and Reasoning: Questions primarily of the non-verbal type will be used to assess analytical aptitude and the capacity to notice and recognise patterns. Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualisation, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc. may be included in this component.
General Knowledge and General Awareness: The candidate's general awareness of his surroundings will be evaluated through the course of the questions in this component. As would be expected of any educated person, questions will also be designed to evaluate knowledge of current events as well as of everyday observations and experience in their scientific context. Questions about sports, history, culture, geography, economics, general politics, the Indian Constitution, and other topics related to India and its neighbours will be included in the test. These inquiries will be constructed in a way that does not necessitate specialised knowledge in any field.
Elementary Mathematics: Questions on issues with number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, and relationships between numbers will be included in this paper. There will also be questions on basic arithmetic operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discounts, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time, time and work, and other topics.
English/ Hindi: Basic comprehension and the candidates' understanding of English and Hindi would be examined.

- Pay Level–1(Rs.18,000 to 56,900) for the post of Sepoy in NCB and Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) for all others posts.
