Qualification and Experience
Engineering Degree Route
  • B.E. (Fire) from National Fire Service College, Nagpur, or
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Safety & Fire Engineering, or
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Fire Technology & Safety Engineering, or
  • An equivalent four-year Fire Safety degree from a UGC-recognised university or AICTE-approved institution.
  • Minimum two years of post-qualification experience in fire safety with a reputed organisation.
Professional Qualification Route
  • Graduate membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers, India or UK, or the Divisional Officers course from NFSC, Nagpur.
  • Minimum three years of qualifying experience as a Station Officer or equivalent in a City or State Fire Brigade, an In-Charge Fire Officer in a corporate organisation or large industrial complex, or a Fire Officer in a State Government institution or PSU.
Qualification and Experience Cut-off Candidates must meet the prescribed requirements by 31 October 2026.

Salary and Responsibilities
Basic Pay Scale ₹48,480–₹85,920, with increments as specified in the advertisement
Allowances DA, HRA, CCA and other benefits as applicable under SBI rules
Probation Period 6 months
Main Responsibilities Review fire safety at branches and offices, conduct safety audits, organise evacuation drills, assess fire protection equipment and coordinate with fire service authorities.
