Registration, correction and a fresh form

Keep these three actions separate. Registration creates an application; the correction window changes permitted fields in an existing application; the 30 October clarification addresses when a fresh form may be submitted. Under that clarification, the latest successfully paid form with a confirmation page is the valid one. If a new form is not successfully completed, the earlier completed application remains valid. Fees from an earlier application are not transferred or refunded. Only one examination attempt per session is allowed.

Step-by-step candidate guide

  1. Open the official JEE Main website and read all three linked notices, starting with the latest clarification.
  2. Check your existing application number, payment status and confirmation page before starting another form.
  3. Use your own identity-login credentials and ensure your name and birth date match the Class 10 record.
  4. Review the DigiLocker KYC advice where applicable.
  5. Complete the appropriate registration or correction action, pay the applicable fee through the official portal and save the confirmation page.
  6. For a permitted correction, use the published 27-29 November window. The extra Rs. 500 mentioned for 23-26 November is a late fee, not the full base examination fee.
